and yes, this is three days late, but i don't care, the memories will last forever anyway. this is sadly, another example of me contradicting myself, because i wouldn't be putting it here if they would remain crystal clear in my memory for the 231625610298750182 more days i have in my life.
anyway, to quote liting, 'it was the most fun camp that i've ever attended!'. or words to that effect. haha, our group was called prada, because you had to get a group name out of the word 'leadership', and it had to be a 2-syllable word, so well, we thought of prada and made it to epitomize the spirit of excellence in our group! and we came up with group cheers, they were just so funny. (:
the morning was mainly icebreakers and pre-camp reflections, but it was quite refreshing to see how interesting the 7 heads (oh, i still remember what they did during orientation concert!) could actually spice up their presentations on the two boards. like, because yanhan wasn't there, so the 3 remaining heads of pb went 'i'm xiner. i'm kristin. i'm hannah. and together we're yanhan.'. (: forgive me, perhaps i have a warped sense of humour. {xiner cheers super loudly, by the way, and hannah tells jokes. kristin is very, proper, but is still awfully nice.} => i put things in brackets, because they probably are of not much use, but because i can't use ljcuts, so.
in the afternoon, we had scenarios! basically we had discussion sessions with our facils (which are facilitators to you) about how we would deal with certain problems that we may face as being p.i.t. / jpsl. oh, and we had a surprise scenario, complete with acting and all, and claire was just so funny. (well, she's a born actress!)
oh, and OM100 was fantabulous, thankyou. {ssh, it's a secret code!} the stations were really fun, and although the station masters were quite, fierce and all, we really learned a lot as a group through OM100. like, you don't go away forgetting OM100 if you had grace c. shouting at you like nuts for not listening to her, for not planning, and asking you with a very stern face how many rubber bands you deserved at the end. and when you say '7', she goes 'you don't deserve 7', and gives you more than 7 because of how we bonded and had patience for each other. you don't walk away forgetting all that. and you don't walk away without memories of OM100 when you have a P.I.T shouting at you, asking you to hurry up, telling you that she could do the puzzle in under 3 minutes and you're taking ages, while the whole time when she's speaking you're going 'let's stay calm.', 'don't get pressurized.' or even something to the extent of 'ignore her.' you don't forget these things easily, really.
and then, kidnapped! we had to link hands in a chain and go around the school finding coloured flags, and when we found one, we had to return to grace c., guess a number and if it was correct, we got a key to save the victims. (: and our group had to always guess some other group's passkey, haha. (when it grew darker, it grew quite freaky too, and after that we all went like 'if we see a red/yellow/pink...(insert random colour here) flag later, i'll freak out'. thankfully, we didn't.) after that, we had to sacrifice one of our team members to save one of the victims, and then we had to solve this whole set of math stuff to rescue our team member! but halfway it got aborted, so...-cries. ><
after that was reflections, but that bit of reflections was rather personal, so yeah. anyway, a big thank you to francesca, kellie & lynette (dear facils, prada loves you!); jo-ann, liting, chloe, yihong, florence, wingyan & the rest of prada (we'll stay connected, right!) and the selection camp OT (in particular, grace c.). thankyou for making selection camp such a wonderful experience for us all, much love from all of us!
{sorry amanda, will do your memes another day.}
